CM Punk set for eight-man tag team match on AEW Collision

CM Punk in eight-man tag team action is among the matches set for Saturday’s AEW Collision episode. 

Punk, FTR’s Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler, and Ricky Starks will face Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White & Juice Robinson, and Austin & Colten Gunn in an eight-man tag on Saturday’s show. The match was set up with an angle on Wednesday’s Dynamite where the eight brawled in the ring after The Gunns defeated The Hardys in tag team action. 

Three additional matches, plus two more segments have also been announced for Collision. 

NJPW’s Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Swerve Strickland in a tune-up on Collision. Tanahashi is set to challenge MJF for the AEW World title on Sunday’s Forbidden Door show. 

In an Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament bout, NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale will face Nyla Rose on Saturday. Nightingale will challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Forbidden Door. 

House of Black’s Brody King will take on Andrade El Idolo in another match announced for Saturday. 

Sting and Darby Allin will reveal their mystery partner for Forbidden Door on Saturday’s Collision show. Sting, Allin, and their partner will take on Chris Jericho, Minoru Suzuki, and Sammy Guevara in a trios match at Forbidden Door. 

One week after Luchasaurus defeated Wardlow to win the TNT tile on Collision, Christian Cage is set to address the TNT Championship on this week’s episode.
