Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara to challenge for AEW Tag Team titles

Le Sex Gods are back.
On Friday’s Rampage, Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara officially reunited following events that took place on Dynamite this past Wednesday. As a result, the two together will now challenge for the AEW Tag Team titles in the future.
Friday’s show saw the two hash things out, as it was Guevara who turned on Chris Jericho earlier in the year before being sidelined with a concussion. Guevara said he turned on Jericho because he had blamed Jericho for his lack of momentum, but inside he knew he was holding himself back. Jericho apologized for being controlling and pushing Guevara in the wrong direction, and offered to reunite their team. Guevara and Jericho then hugged it out to end the segment.
Guevara on Wednesday made his return after being gone due to both suffering a concussion and welcoming a new child with his wife Tay Melo. After becoming hostile with Don Callis, Guevara was told by Callis to either choose his new family or the Callis family. Guevara attacked Callis, who was then jumped by other members of the Callis family until Jericho made the save.
The AEW Tag Team title match had originally been won by The Young Bucks. However, they lost the match to Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega at Full Gear in November. The two were set to face AEW Tag Team Champions Big Bill & Ricky Starks at Worlds End until Kenny Omega was sidelined indefinitely while recovering from diverticulitis.
