Bryan Danielson returns on AEW Dynamite, attacks Kenny Omega

Bryan Danielson has returned to AEW and has The Elite in his sights.

The former AEW World title challenger appeared on Wednesday’s Dynamite, joining the Blackpool Combat Club in a beatdown of Kenny Omega after his victory over Jeff Cobb.

Danielson looked as if he was going to aid Omega after Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli jumped Omega after the match. His music hit and after he came out, he motioned for them to leave the ring in an apparent show of peace.

He then lined up for a busaiku knee and nailed Omega with it, followed by him joining the BCC in a further attack on Omega. The Young Bucks were injured on last week’s Dynamite while Don Callis and Hangman Page were taken out earlier on this week’s show, leaving all of them unable to assist.

This was Danielson’s first appearance after delivering an emotional speech on the post-Revolution Dynamite several weeks ago where he said he was taking a break following his loss to AEW World Champion MJF in their 60+ minute Iron Man match.

Danielson and Omega have squared off once in AEW history, going to a 30-minute time limit draw at Dynamite Grand Slam in September 2021.
