Brian Kendrick pulled from AEW Dynamite due to past comments

Brian Kendrick has been pulled from his scheduled bout on tonight’s AEW Dynamite after “abhorrent & offensive” comments he has made came to light today.

In a Highspots Video released in 2013 titled Brian Kendrick Presents: The Kendrick Theory, Kendrick questioned the severity of the Holocaust, stated that Nazi gas chambers were for delousing rather than mass murder, and that the Sandy Hook school shooting was a hoax.

In a video filmed years earlier, Kendrick appeared to suggest that Jewish people were reptilian and part of a global conspiracy connected to an earthquake in Haiti.

Kendrick had been scheduled to face Jon Moxley in his AEW debut, just 24 hours after his WWE release was confirmed. Wheeler Yuta has been named as Kendrick’s replacement in the match against Moxley.

AEW president Tony Khan tweeted about his decision to remove Kendrick from tonight’s show:

“We’ve been made aware of abhorrent & offensive comments made in the past by Brian Kendrick. There’s no room in AEW for the views expressed by Brian. We think it’s best for all that Brian be pulled from tonight’s card as we gather more info. We’ll announce a replacement bout ASAP.”

Kendrick had been working in WWE NXT and on the 205 Live brand as a producer. He has not wrestled since 2020.
