Andrade in-ring debut, Inner Circle-Pinnacle set for AEW Road Rager

Andrade El Idolo will make his AEW in-ring debut against Matt Sydal on next week’s Road Rager edition of Dynamite.

The former WWE star proposed the match on Wednesday’s show after Sydal interrupted him last week on the way to his own match against Dante Martin. Since getting his release from WWE, he has wrestled just twice with both matches coming this month for RGR Lucha Libre.

Next week’s show will be in Miami, Florida — AEW’s first road show since March 2020 in Salt Lake City, Utah, due to the pandemic.

The show will also feature Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks vs. Penta El Zero Miedo and Eddie Kingston for the titles. Penta and Kingston handed the Bucks their first loss in a traditional tag team match since February 2020 in a title eliminator match Wednesday to earn the shot.

In a six-man tag team match, Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz of The Inner Circle (with Konnan) will take on FTR and Wardlow of The Pinnacle (with Tully Blanchard) to continue their feud. Chris Jericho and MJF will also be in a face-to-face standoff where Jericho will learn about what he needs to do to get a shot at MJF.

In the first-ever mixed tag team match for AEW, Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander will face The Blade and The Bunny.
