Andrade El Idolo vs. Rey Fenix set for AEW Rampage
Andrade El Idolo vs. Rey Fenix, plus three additional bouts have been announced for Friday’s AEW Rampage episode.
The match against Fenix will be Andrade’s first singles bout on Dynamite or Rampage since losing a coffin match to Darby Allin in April. He did appear in the Casino Battle Royale on the June 8 Dynamite, then defeated Frankie Kazarian on Dark: Elevation in a match that aired this week.
Also announced for Rampage, United Empire’s Jeff Cobb will face FTR’s Cash Wheeler. Both will take part in a triple threat match for both the ROH and IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team titles as Forbidden Door, with United Empire facing FTR and Roppongi Vice.
Hook vs. The DKC from NJPW’s LA Dojo, plus Serena Deeb and Mercedes Martinez tagging against unnamed opponents are the other matches set for Friday’s show, which is being taped tonight.
