AEW’s Tony Khan: ‘Everyone at work is being so nice to me these past 24 hours’

Tony Khan cracked a joke on social media while promoting tonight’s AEW Rampage and Battle of the Belts. 

In the wake of news that Vince McMahon has elected himself back to WWE’s board of directors and is looking to be named executive chairman of the company, the AEW President wrote on Twitter:

Everyone at work is being so nice to me these past 24 hours! I wonder why… It must be belated holiday spirit.

Friday’s live editions of Rampage and Battle of the Belts will take place from the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon. 

Four matches and one segment are confirmed for AEW Rampage:

  • Top Flight vs. Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson
  • Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker vs. The Renegade Twins
  • TNT Champion Darby Allin defends against Mike Bennett
  • Perro Peligroso vs. TBA
  • The House of Black will speak

Three title matches are advertised for AEW Battle of the Belts V:

  • AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed defend against Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal in a no holds barred match
  • TBS Champion Jade Cargill defends against Skye Blue
  • AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy defends against Kip Sabian
