Matt Hardy comments on Jeff Hardy’s DUI arrest

Following Jeff Hardy’s DUI arrest, Matt Hardy has vowed to continue doing everything he can to help his brother get healthy.
“It was disheartening to hear the news about my brother yesterday,” Matt tweeted on Tuesday. “Recovery isn’t a linear process & I’ll continue doing whatever I can to help my brother be healthy. Being healthy & well is the most important thing for Jeff, his wife, his children & our family at this time.”
Jeff was arrested in Volusia County, Florida early Monday morning on three charges related to driving under the influence. Police state that two breathalyzer tests yielded blood alcohol content readings of .294 and .291, both of which are nearly four times the legal limit.
Jeff is facing charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, and violating an interlock restriction. The DUI offense is a third-degree felony.
This is Jeff’s third DUI arrest since 2018.
On Monday night, Jeff was bailed out of jail on a $3,500 bond. He was initially scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but that appearance is now listed as canceled.
The Hardys had been set to face Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus and The Young Bucks in a triple threat ladder match for the AEW Tag Team titles on Dynamite this Wednesday. That match is no longer being advertised by AEW.
Dave Meltzer reports that AEW has told Warner Bros. Discovery to “stop all promotion of Jeff Hardy in any commercials or anywhere else immediately.”
