AEW’s Kris Statlander undergoes knee surgery

Kris Statlander has undergone surgery for the knee injury that’s expected to keep her out of action into next year.
On her social media accounts on Wednesday, Statlander shared a photo of her in a hospital bed after undergoing surgery. She captioned it with “I must’ve been thinking of you when I got injured, because you make my knees weak. Xoxo”

Statlander revealed last month that she had suffered a “completely torn ACL and lateral meniscus.” Statlander said she expected to be out of action for 6-8 months due to the injury.
“Welp. One knee fixed, one to go,” Statlander tweeted on August 11. “After the first knee injury I came back stronger and better than ever so it’s all over for you all when I come back from this one. I’m sorry to let you all [down] once again. I’ll be back bigger, more powerful, and more than a woman.”
Statlander was previously out of action from June 2020 to April 2021 due to a torn ACL.
Statlander injured her knee last month during a match against Sierra that was taped for AEW Dark on August 5.
