AEW’s Chris Jericho donates $10,000 to NFL player Damar Hamlin’s charity

Following a tackle in a Monday NFL game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals that left Bills safety Damar Hamlin in critical condition, AEW star Chris Jericho was one of thousands of people who donated to Hamlin’s charity.
The charity, which initially started a fundraiser with a goal of $2500, is currently up to more than $4 million in less than 24 hours.
One of those that contributed in a significant way was Jericho, who made two separate $5000 donations — the second of which was done after he initially spelled his name wrong in the first one.
Early in the first quarter, Hamlin stood up after what looked like a routine tackle only to fall backward seconds later. He required CPR on the field and was taken to a hospital roughly 15 minutes later. It was later announced that he had suffered cardiac arrest due to the hit. As of this writing, Hamlin remains in critical condition.
Social media rallied behind Hamlin and took to donating to his Chasing M’s Foundation that was “initially established to support a toy drive for Damar’s community.” Hamlin created the foundation “to bring lasting impact to his community. The foundation supports toy drives, back-to-school drives, kids camps, and more.”
