Anthony Henry suffers broken jaw, out of AEW Tag Team title tournament

Anthony Henry is out of action.
On Monday, the AEW star wrote on X that he will be out of action following a broken jaw, which will require surgery. The injury took place during a Deadlock Pro Wrestling match on Sunday, where Bryan Keith defeated Henry to retain the DPW National title.
“Absolutely gutted,” Henry wrote. “In last night’s match against Bryan Keith, I took a knee strike that broke my jaw. The #workhorsemen had some exciting things coming up. One of which was the @AEW tag team tournament, which we can now not be involved in. I will have surgery soon.”

“I honestly don’t know how I will take this,” he continued. “I’ve never had an injury like this. I don’t know what to do without wrestling, and my biggest fear is that it derails any upcoming plans for [JD] Drake and I. I may be absent from here for a while. I appreciate all the fans who support us!”
As a team, the WorkHorsemen have recently been wrestling on ROH television. Their latest tag match in AEW was a loss to Sting & Darby Allin on the January 6 episode of Collision.
Sting & Allin vacated the AEW Tag Team titles after defeating The Young Bucks in Sting’s retirement match. A tournament to crown new champions will begin on Collision this Saturday. The bracket for the tournament has yet to be revealed.
