AEW wrestler Anthony Henry undergoing surgery for torn biceps

AEW/ROH wrestler Anthony Henry will be out of action for the foreseeable future.
Henry announced today that, in his match against NJPW Strong Openweight Champion Gabe Kidd at last week’s ROH tapings, he suffered a torn biceps and will need to undergo surgery. The match was taped on October 3 and has not aired yet.
“I, unfortunately, have to announce that I’m out of commission for the foreseeable future,” Henry wrote. “During my match with Gabe Kidd this past [week], I tore my left biceps off the bone. Surgery this week, and then I start the road to recovery. I am sorry to any fans I am letting down.”
The news comes as Henry’s WorkHorsemen tag team partner JD Drake is returning from a torn foot ligament. Prior to Henry’s injury, they were scheduled to team against FTR at a show for Deadlock Pro Wrestling in Charlotte, North Carolina this Sunday (October 13).
Henry has recently been paired with Beef (formerly known as Gnarls Garvin) in AEW/ROH with Beef playing the role of Henry’s cousin.
Earlier this year, Henry spent some time out of action due to a broken jaw. He was briefly released by AEW in April, but Tony Khan changed his mind and announced that Henry was being brought back.
