AEW Women’s World Championship match announced for Double or Nothing

A match for the AEW Women’s World Championship has been added to Double or Nothing.
It was announced that champion Thunder Rosa will be defending the title against Serena Deeb later this month in Las Vegas. The challenge was laid out tonight following a confrontation between the champion and the new challenger.
Rosa came out during tonight’s Dynamite and called out the number one contender, which was Deeb. Deeb said that in order for the AEW women’s division to be the best in the world, the best wrestler in the world needed to be champion. She said she considered herself on another level, in a class all of her own. She told Rosa at Double or Nothing, she would be taking the title.
Deeb became the top ranked AEW women’s wrestler after defeating Hikaru Shida in a street fight on last week’s Dynamite.
Here is the current lineup for Double or Nothing, which takes place May 29 in Las Vegas:
- Hangman Adam Page vs. CM Punk for the AEW World Championship
- Thunder Rosa vs. Serena Deeb for the AEW Women’s World Championship
- Men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament final
