Major title development occurs during AEW Collision taping

The following contains spoilers for this Saturday’s AEW Collision.
The Bang Bang Gang will no longer be the AEW Unified World Trios Champions on this Saturday’s AEW Collision, taped Wednesday after Dynamite in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
On the show, authority figure Christopher Daniels stripped Jay White, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn of the titles after the group attempted to cite the Freebird rule to replace White with Juice Robinson as champion.
The reason for that is White is out of action selling injuries suffered at the hands of Hangman Page in their Owen Hart Foundation tournament semifinal match on last week’s Collision.
Rather than grant the request to have Robinson replace White, Daniels stripped them of their titles, announcing a future match for the vacant titles with Robinson & The Gunns facing The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Killswitch & Nick Wayne) at a date yet to be announced.
The Patriarchy have cited their desire to win the Trios titles in recent weeks in promo segments on Collision. Cage speared White during the aforementioned match with Page, leading to White’s defeat.
