AEW’s Tony Khan working on ‘something pretty big’ that ‘would be massive’

During his weekly appearance on Busted Open Radio Friday, AEW head Tony Khan teased that he is “working on something pretty big” that hopefully will be done over the next week.

He didn’t allude to whether it was a signing or a business-related move, simply saying “it would be massive.” He said it was something that not a lot of people would expect or even think they know what it is.

Khan has frequently gone the route of teasing and promoting surprises throughout AEW’s early years, most of which have been free agent signings.

The most recent was a double-shot on the February 9th edition of Dynamite when former WWE wrestler Keith Lee made his debut, advancing to the Face of the Revolution ladder match for March’s pay-per-view with his win over Isiah Kassidy.

That was followed on that same episode by New Japan’s Jay White who debuted in a backstage segment with Adam Cole and the Young Bucks, attacking Roppongi Vice. White makes his in-ring debut on Friday’s Rampage against Trent Beretta.

During the interview, Khan also talked about Cody and Brandi Rhodes‘ departure from AEW for the first time.
