AEW’s Thunder Rosa reportedly dealing with back injury

A night after she revealed she could not compete at AEW All Out due to an injury, more details have emerged as relates to what AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa is currently working through.
PWInsider reported that Rosa is dealing with a disc issue in her back — a problem she has been trying to work through lately. There’s no timeframe for her return.
AEW will create an interim Women’s title that will be decided at All Out with former champions Britt Baker and HIkaru Shida plus Toni Storm and Jamie Hayter competing in a four-way. Storm was to challenge Rosa in a rematch.

Following Rosa’s admission, rumors started swirling on social media that the injury was a ruse and a ploy to not lose the title. While Dave Meltzer didn’t confirm the injury or lack thereof, he said on Wrestling Observer Radio that a title change was scheduled for the pay-per-view.
While Rosa didn’t address any rumors or speak specifically about the injury, she did tweet a thanks to her fans and the wrestling community on Thursday.
I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the #ThunderArmy and the Wrestling Community for the outpour of support and well wishes after my announcement on #AEWDynamite. I will heal and come back soon; your still @AEW Women's World Champion.
