AEW Tag Team title eliminator tournament starting on Rampage

A four team AEW Tag Team title eliminator tournament was announced Wednesday with the winners moving on to face the Young Bucks in a steel cage match for the titles at next month’s All Out.
The tournament begins on Friday’s Rampage from the United Center as Private Party will take on the Jurassic Express and will continue next Wednesday on Dynamite as the Varsity Blonds go against the Lucha Brothers. The date of the finals weren’t announced.
Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus were unable to unseat the champions Wednesday due to repeated interference from fellow members of The Elite while Private Party is riding a three-match win streak. This will be the first time this pairing of Jurassic Express will take on Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy in a traditional tag team match.
The Blonds were unable to defeat the Bucks in a recent title match while the last time the Lucha Brothers faced the champions in a traditional tag team match, they successfully defended the AAA Tag Team titles against them at 2019’s All Out in a ladder match.
The Bucks learned it would be a steel cage match at this year’s All Out Wednesday as Tony Khan was tired of all the interference in their title matches.
