Another team advanced in the AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator tournament on Saturday.
Bang Bang Gang (Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson) advanced on Collision, defeating Big Bill and Bryan Keith to make it to the semifinals. The finish had Keith attempt a sunset flip after Robinson went for a frankensteiner, but Gunn came in and reversed the sunset flip, giving the Bang Bang Gang the win. They will now face FTR, who were the first team to advance to the semifinals on Wednesday by defeating JetSpeed.
In an interview online, Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn said they dedicated the match to Colten Gunn, who suffered an injury recently and will be out of action. They then talked about their future opponents, FTR:
A tournament to crown new number one contenders for the Tag Team titles began on Wednesday, but when brackets were shown, only FTR and JetSpeed’s names were shown. That was rectified on Saturday shortly before the show as Tony Khan released the full bracket. The winners of the tournament will go on to challenge The Hurt Syndicate for the AEW Tag Team titles at Forbidden Door on August 24.
The next match in the tournament takes place on Wednesday when The Young Bucks battle with The Outrunners.
