AEW star makes return during Ring of Honor tapings

Sammy Guevara is back in AEW/ROH.

During Sunday’s ROH television tapings in Arlington, Texas Guevara made his return by attacking members of the Dark Order and making the save for Dustin Rhodes.

It was Guevara’s first appearance back since being suspended by AEW in February following a match against Jeff Hardy in which he did not follow concussion protocol. By May, it was reported that Guevara was no longer suspended, but there was no word on when Guevara would return.

In a post on X last week, Guevara wrote that both he and wife Tay Melo were training for their in-ring return. Melo gave birth to their daughter last fall.

“We are both training for our comebacks and I wish yall could see how much work she puts in,” he wrote. “Some days are harder than others but she has been killing it, all while being a great mom and wife!”

Dustin Rhodes, along with the Von Erichs, won a number one contenders match at ROH Death Before Dishonor on Friday by defeating The Dark Order. The following day at Battle of the Belts XI, they defeated Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett to win the vacant ROH Six-Man Tag Team titles.
