AEW star Darby Allin set for Shark Week appearance
Viewers tuning in to Shark Week 2025 later this month will see AEW star Darby Allin make an appearance.
Allin will be featured on the show “Caught! Sharks Strike Back,” which airs on Discovery at 9 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on Thursday, July 24. A sneak peek of the show will air during the July 23 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Shark Week — Discovery Channel’s marquee summer event — begins on July 20 with new programming every night through July 26. Here is the description for the show Allin will be appearing on:
Caught! Sharks Strike Back: This year has set a record for shark encounters captured on camera, from a hilarious moment when a shark slaps a fisherman in the face to the intense 10-minutes a great white stalked a kayaker… these are craziest moments of when sharks strike back.
Allin has been away from AEW in 2025 while preparing for and recently completing a climb of Mount Everest. Shortly after finishing that climb, he flew out to the Bahamas to film this Shark Week show.
There have been regular promotional tie-ins between AEW and Shark Week over the years with Warner Bros. Discovery being AEW’s TV partner.
The July 23 episode of Dynamite is being held in Chicago as part of AEW’s six-show residency at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom. It remains to be seen whether Allin will be back on AEW TV by then. The promotion has All In 2025 — its biggest show of the year — taking place in Arlington, Texas on July 12.
