Last Thursday, she tweeted the picture seen above saying, “I’m taking a rest a little” which raised questions as to the severity of the injury. It’s unknown where and when it occurred.
The 24-year-old was last in action on Saturday, January 8th as she was unsuccessful in defeating Women’s Champion Britt Baker at the first-ever AEW Battle of the Belts. That snapped a 13-match winning streak dating back to May 2021.
Since debuting with AEW at Double or Nothing in May 2019, Riho has worked in both the U.S. and Japan where she has appeared primarily for Stardom. For the majority of 2021, she worked with AEW in the U.S.
