AEW Dynamite live results: The fallout from All In
AEW kicks off their Chicago residency with tonight’s Dynamite featuring the fallout from Saturday’s All In pay-per-view.
Both of the promotion’s World Champions will speak live on tonight’s episode. AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page will kick off the show with a victory speech after dethroning Jon Moxley for the title in the All In main event. Women’s World Champion Toni Storm will also address the AEW audience after retaining her title with a victory over Mercedes Mone at All In.
Hangman and Moxley will mix it up again tonight on opposite sides of a six-man tag, with Page, Mark Briscoe, and Powerhouse Hobbs facing Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta of The Death Riders in trios action.
Tonight begins a three-week residency in Chicago for AEW at the Aragon Ballroom. Saturday’s AEW Collision will be taped tomorrow at the venue. The July 23 Dynamite and July 26 Collision will air live from the building, then the July 30 Dynamite and July 31 live Collision will also take place at the Ballroom.

AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Tony Schiavone welcoming us in the ring as he welcomes the brand new AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page to a huge reaction. Excalibur is joined by Taz, as they talk about never in their careers have they seen what went down in Arlington at All In, as Page shows the World Title for the first time on Dynamite since last year, as he limped to the ring.
Hangman Adam Page Speaks
Page is met with You Deserve It chants from the crowd, but Page said there’s more to that chant than they understand, as it’s the fans who deserve it. Every single week, the fans demanded a better version professional wrestling and supported a grass roots version, as they started a revolution to change the world and for All Elite Wrestling. Page wants them to know they just don’t do it for the AEW World Title, but for the fans, who deserve to see the championship and someone to hold it that understands the connection and has more gratitude than they’ll ever know. At All In, Page walked into a war that’d been going on for nine months to free this title. Some of those who entered the war, didn’t come out of it the same. Page thanks Orange Cassidy, Switchblade Jay White, Adam Copeland, The Opps, Bryan Danielson & Darby Allin. Page also needs to thank someone who made Page realize the future is bright in AEW, but he wasn’t able to walk out on his own at All In, Will Ospreay. Crowd start chanting Swerve’s House, as after a long delay, Page said he doesn’t know whether he helped for himself or for AEW or for one small moment, for Page himself, but to Swerve Strickland, thank you.
All In was a rollercoaster for Page and not ashamed that he shed not only buckets of blood, but some tears. People like Jon Moxley would call him weak, but Page has a wife and two kids that loves him. Fans who can look and respect Page and if Moxley wants to look at what kind of man Page is, he can do it tonight, as Page is the Mother F’N Champion of the World. Excellent first promo for Page to kick off his second reign as AEW World Champion.
-Massive video package on All In Texas was shown, highlighting that it was the highest grossing gate in AEW and all social media accomplishments to the theme of Machinehead by Bush.
-Matt & Nick Jackson (Excalibur said they no longer are bullied to call them Matthew & Nicholas) arrived to the building in an Uber, as they no longer have EVP status, covering their faces up from the cameras as they got their bags from the trunk.
Kyle Fletcher (w/Don Callis & Lance Archer) vs. Mascara Dorada
(Really good bounce back win for Fletcher after leaving All In without the TNT Title. I loved the pivot they did at the show to give Dustin Rhodes the unexpected win, as you can easily do a brief story with them, as Fletcher has to continue fighting his way to the title, but all roads are seemingly leading to him finally becoming TNT Champion, which I assume was the goal for All In before the Adam Cole injury.)
Fletcher steamrolled Dorada with a big boot and punches in bunches at the bell. Callis & Archer walked out to ringside after the match began, as Dorada fought back with flips, scaling the top into a spinning arm drag. Blocking a corner charge, Dorada went to the ring post, leapt off onto a springboard until Fletcher hit another charging boot, this time to the outside. Fletcher missed a dive through the ropes, allowing Dorada to respond with a Tornillo. Quickly back inside, Dorada missed a dive, as Fletcher hit a spinning sit-out side slam into commercial.
It was all Fletcher during break, until Dorada countered a powerbomb into a snap hurricanrana for a near fall. Fletcher dodged multiple springboards, but not the third go around, as Dorada hit a head scissors and thrust kick to the outside. Dorada connected on a massive Shooting Star Press off the middle rope, as back inside, Dorada fired off a series of kicks into a Code Red for two. Dorada took way too long to go up top, as Fletcher booted him in the face, couldn’t get the avalanche brainbuster, as Dorada got free, hit a corkscrew hurricanrana and 450 Splash for a near fall. Massive chops by Dorada, who followed with a thrust kick and Tijeras, but Fletcher answered with a lawn dart in the corner, flying kick and Sheer Drop Brainbuster for the win. Fletcher said to the camera that Dustin Rhodes stole the biggest moment of his life and it’s his mission to take everything from him. Tony Schiavone said we’ll hear from Rhodes this Saturday on Collision.
Match Result: Kyle Fletcher defeated Mascara Dorada
-Renee Paquette caught up with Matt & Nick Jackson, who were in search of their locker room. Paquette gleefully reminded them about their loss at All In before trying to greet Marina Shafir who walked by, giving them the cold shoulder. A door with the EVP sign is being crossed off and labeled just for Matt & Nick as Ricochet & Gates of Agony walks in saying it sucks to be them. They laugh and walk away as Matt says it’s so much disrespect. Don Callis walks in and agrees, they lose one match and are treated like jobbers. Since Kenny Omega is dead, maybe they can join forces, since they’re the greatest tag team of all time. Matt said they’ll never join his Family, but maybe they can talk. Callis said he has like 15 family members who will be their friends and gives The Bucks a hug, as they are reluctantly accepting his offer to join forces.

ROH Champion Bandido, Brody King & JetSpeed (Speedball Mike Bailey & Kevin Knight) vs. Josh Alexander, Hechicero (w/Don Callis & Lance Archer) & The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)
(An action packed PWG style party match, as everyone was flying in and out of the ring for a majority of this one. This really helped further the new feud between Hechicero & Bandido, as that’s obviously the next program for the ROH Title and this was a good way in making Hechicero a legit threat. The Bucks feeling lost without their EVP status will be a funny angle to go off of for a bit, but I do hope this means we get more matches from them on AEW TV more frequently going forward.)
The Bucks initially had their EVP entrance, but it was cut off with zero pyro and footage of them losing at All In was their tron video, as well as a PowerPoint version saying Matt & Nick with the EVP words crossed out. A giddy Justin Roberts introduced them as former EVPs, quickly saying The Young Bucks. King no sold early Alexander offense, so King cracked him in the back with a stiff chop. The Bucks didn’t want to tag, so Hechicero & Bandido tag in for as Taz called Hechicero the Crazy, Dancing Man. Bandido hit a springboard hurricanrana before JetSpeed made quick tags, initially thwarting The Bucks sneak attack with an assisted cross body by Knight and then a double dive to the floor for good measure. Back inside, Alexander got a cheap shot, allowing Nick to hit a punt kick on Knight and assisted pop-up hurricanrana on Bandido. Double superkick on Knight and another off the shoulders of Alexander, as Bailey suffered a double stomp bounce back powerbomb, as Nick hit a huge springboard dive onto a pile into commercial.
Back from break, Knight was continued to be worked over by Hechicero before both slugged it out leading to a double down. Alexander hit a spinning Torture Rack Slam, as The Bucks then wanted to get in, were going for an EVP Trigger, but realized they had to rename it, allowing Knight to capitalize with a double dropkick and hot tag to Bailey, who ran wild with rapid fire kicks. Bailey missed a running Shooting Star on Nick, but connected on a moonsault to the outside onto Matt. Back inside, missile dropkick connected on Nick, who Matrixed out of taking a superkick, but Bailey escaped More Bang For Your Buck into a backflip double knees onto them both. King tagged in and mowed through the Callis Family members, corner cannonball on Hechicero, before a Tope wiped out the rest, but not before Bandido made the blind tag.
King assisted Bandido with a handspring moonsault onto the pile outside before quickly back inside, Alexander saved Hechicero in the corner. JetSpeed flew in and out with dives, as Bandido hit his Revolution Fly, but The Bucks broke the count. The match broke down as Alexander ate a Poison Rana from Bailey, but The Bucks had a brief Superkick Party until a 15% allowed Bandido to hit Nick with a pop-up cutter and X-Knee. 21-Plex was blocked by Alexander, allowing The Bucks to hit an assisted Indy Taker and Hechicero hit a roll, as Bandido was popped up into a double superkick. Hechicero sank in a sleeper, as The Bucks & Alexander held off the opposition as Bandido passed out.
Match Result: Josh Alexander, Hechicero & The Young Bucks defeated Bandido, JetSpeed & Brody King when Hechicero submitted Bandido

Adam Copeland Speaks
The graphic for this show said Adam Copeland, but he’s still being called Cope on his tron video and Justin Roberts intro. Aragon Ballroom did a very solid job singing his themes, as Cope thanks the fans and said that kind of reaction is the reason he keeps doing this. Lots of question after All In, most notably did he come back to save Christian Cage and the answer is no, as Cage is an a**hole. From the second he’s arrived in AEW, Cage has tried to make his life miserable. Cope ran down everything Cage has done to him, even costing him his AEW Title match with Jon Moxley to cash in his title contract and losing. Cope doesn’t blame Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian & Mother Wayne for what they did at All In, as Cope told Cage this would happen, as he hopes now, Cage is pulling his giant cranium out of his ass. Cope didn’t come back to help Cage, he came back to get revenge on FTR.
Five years ago, Cope got his dream back and the first people he called, were FTR, who he knew could whip him back into shape. Cope said even in a different company, he suggested winning Trios Titles as Rated FTR, but when they finally got together, after a few weeks, they started complaining that they were glorified Edge-heads. The thing about megalomaniacs is they blame everyone else, but not look in the mirror. For four months, they put Cope on the shelf, which might not seem like a long time, but every time he steps in the ring could be his last, so that’s four months he’ll never get back. Cope didn’t return for championships, it’s to end FTR.
Stokely Hathaway makes his way to the ring with security guards. Hathaway said FTR read Cope like a book, as he’s met with Shut the F Up chants, which Hathaway said sounds like a Hathaway Family Reunion. He has a question for Cope, the weapon he had at All In, Spike, is a liability, so much so that after the PPV, AEW, Tony Khan & Warner Media received three anonymous e-mails about Cope’s behavior. Moving forward, if Cope interferes in FTR’s matches, he’ll be fired. FTR aren’t scared of Cope, they’re focused on the AEW Tag Team Titles. Hathaway told Cope to find a hobby and leave FTR alone.
Cope said Hathaway sounds like an angry Oompa Loompa, who said he can’t get near FTR, but said nothing about Hathaway. Cope took out two guards, while the other two ran for their lives, leaving Hathaway to slowly turn around and take a Spear from Cope, who screams that he will have all of them.
-History of Mark Briscoe’s run-ins with the Death Riders is recapped ahead of tonight’s main event, but Briscoe still has his sights set on MJF. Briscoe is backstage and said if it walks, talks and acts like a b*tch, it’s a b*tch. MJF dodged Briscoe that entire Casino Gauntlet, as the two things Briscoe needed to do was to whoop MJF’s ass and get that title shot, but thanks to MJF, he accomplished neither. Briscoe thought he’d be done with MJF, but they’re just getting started. Briscoe made his debut a few years ago under unfortunate circumstances and brings up MJF mentioning his brother Jay a few weeks ago. Some call it karma, you reap what you sow, Briscoe will make MJF pay for his sins.
Willow Nightingale vs. Kris Statlander vs. Thekla vs. Queen Aminata in a $100,000 4-Way Fight
(I enjoyed this fast paced 4-way quite a bit, as the crowd were loudly into it from the opening bell. They did a good job continuing the feuds between Thekla & Aminata and Nightingale & Statlander while having everyone get in their signature moves and having a chance to win this. The new association between Hart, Blue & Thekla seems to be the direction they’re going, as Aminata will need backup if she hopes to combat that trio.)
Fast start by Thekla, who ran house on everyone, until Statlander caught a corner charge into a delayed vertical suplex and kip up. Thekla avoided a press slam, fired off a thrust kick, but Aminata pulled her outside, where Statlander flew in with a baseball slide. Aminata quickly got in with a sliding boot in the ropes, as she & Nightingale took turns squashing Statlander with a senton and double stomp. Aminata gave Nightingale Chocolate Kisses that was broke up by Thekla and a running boot. Nightingale planted Thekla with a Torture Rack backbreaker before Aminata fought with her to the apron and delivered a headbutt. Aminata climbed the ropes, but Thekla made her crash and burn before hitting a top rope cross body to the floor on Nightingale & Statlander into break.
When things returned, Thekla was fighting off both Statlander & Nightingale until Statlander avoided a head scissors, placed Thekla in the corner, where Aminata returned, only for Thekla to rise into a Spider Suplex. Thekla sent Statlander crashing into Nightingale before doing her Spider Walk and huge Spear. Nightingale missed a swing, but Aminata connected with her headbutt on Thekla and spinning Fisherman’s Suplex on Statlander. Nightingale cleans house briefly, Statlander in with discus lariats until Aminata hit a headbutt as everyone collapsed.
Aminata & Thekla and Statlander & Nightingale were paired off, as Statlander hit a Blue Thunder Bomb, Aminata with an Air Raid Crash, as Nightingale hit a Doctor Bomb on Thekla, but Statlander pulled out Referee Aubrey. Nightingale & Statlander brawled up the ramp, as back inside, Aminata hit a neckbreaker and double stomp off the top on Thekla for two. Skye Blue then walks to the ring and runs distraction, allowing Julia Hart to appear and mist Aminata. Thekla connects with a Curb Stomp and gets the win. Taz said Thekla should Venmo Blue & Hart some of her winnings, as all three ladies stood tall over a fallen Aminata.
Match Result: Thekla defeated Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander pinning Aminata

Timeless Toni Storm’s Victory Speech
The AEW Women’s Champion appeared in one of the balconies, as she’s met with a standing ovation. Storm said enough of this gay banter, as this whore you all adore, the slut you can’t rebut, the b*tch you want to itch, the skank you want to spank, this trollop you can’t wallop, this tramp is still the champ. Storm thanks Mercedes Mone for going All In with her, as they did everything they set out to do. In case Mone forgot, Storm said if she made one false move, she’d eat Mone alive and darling, you were delicious. If Mone wants to come back for seconds, then from her lips to hers, this buffet is always open. Storm is sad to announce Luther was injured in the line of duty (Taz is delighted with that news) and requires reattachment surgery.
And now, Storm’s tits are pointing to the future, as there are so many people with the knives, so she ought to be careful, as this title is the big one in this company, building and planet. Athena & Billie Starkz appear on the big screen, as Athena said the big one is the ROH Women’s Championship. Storm will be the wide hipped Heffer that no one will care about. While Luther is injured, so is Mina Shirakawa, who she injured at All In. No one is watching Storm’s back, so she can take her title tonight, London, Canada or (Athena appeared to sign the contract, but we don’t know for when) as she’s having too much with this, as Storm’s demise and murder are here.
Storm said Athena is ready, Storm will be sweaty, if you’re willing, Storm will be thrilling, if you’re able, Storm will bend you over the table because Storm is Timeless. We’re told Storm will face Billie Starkz next week on Dynamite.
-Kip Sabian, Nick & Mother Wayne are backstage, Sabian said he was the one who chose Christian Cage as a father figure. Then realized what their real purpose was with his brother, Nick, not under a Patriarch, but a Matriarch.
Mother Wayne said Cage had trouble getting up on Saturday, which is nothing new for him. These are her boys, Nick is her son, our Prodigy.
Nick said the answer is simple, Cage was passed his expiration date, as he became a liability for The Patriarchy. They realized that when Cage went on his own path to become the World Champion. Cage used to love getting into Nick’s face about the titles he’s won, but Cage forgot Nick is 21 years old and the youngest champion in the company’s history and the question is how many titles will Nick win over his career. Nick said everyone will be forced to view him as the face of TNT and AEW now and forever.
-Don Callis walks out holding the Continental & International Titles saying they witnessed history at All In and tonight, for the first time, Kazuchika Okada has unified the titles and is the Unified Champion, the greatest wrestler in the world, The Rainmaker. Okada walked out in a new entrance robe and new theme, as it’s completely different from the theme Okada has used the last 12-13 years. While the theme is fine, I’m going to assume a lot of folks won’t be happy with this decision, as that theme was legendary.
AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. Rafael Quintero
Okada hit a big boot, dropkick and Rainmaker for the easy win.
Post match, Callis said Okada has something to say, as he said Swerve Strickland screwed his friends The Young Bucks, you b*tch. Strickland’s music hit and he walks out with Prince Nana, saying yeah he did that, what is Okada going to do about it, b*tch? Callis whispered something to Okada and they both retreated with Okada staring down Strickland from the ramp.
Match Result: Kazuchika Okada defeated Rafael Quintero

AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page, AEW Trios Champion Powerhouse Hobbs & Mark Briscoe vs. Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta w/Marina Shafir)
(I liked the story they told for most of the match that Moxley was almost distracted by the fact he lost his title on Saturday and didn’t really contribute much outside of a kick or punch here and there. The wheels continue to fall off for Death Riders, as it’ll be interesting to see how they regroup coming off multiple losses as their fortunes have completely turned over the past week. Their collapse continues, all with Darby Allin watching on intently.)
Really cool entrance for the Death Riders walking into the Aragon Ballroom, as Hobbs wasted no time attacking Castagnoli, the man who put Samoa Joe on the shelf a bit at All In. Meat lariats delivered in the corner before Hobbs tagged Page, who mounted Castagnoli with a full mount and punches in bunches. Yuta tagged in and immediately got beat up by everyone, as fast tags were made by Briscoe & Hobbs, as a very reluctant Moxley slowly stepped in the ring, only to retreat during commercial.
Back from break, Hobbs caught a diving Yuta until Moxley made the save with a hair pull, which only pissed off Hobbs, as Moxley’s reaction was priceless to this. Hobbs went to chase Yuta, but Shafir stood in his way, giving enough time for Castagnoli to hit a chop block and Shafir a chance to get in some cheap shots. Shafir paint brushed Hobbs right in front of referee Paul Turner, who did literally nothing, as Moxley sank in a rear naked choke and drove Hobbs into the steps. Back inside, Castagnoli delivered a Giant Swing on Hobbs before Moxley finally entered the match officially to deliver one boot before tagging Yuta. Hobbs hit a snap powerslam and hot tag to Briscoe, who ran wild, lighting Moxley up with chops and Castagnoli with palm strikes. Enzugiri on Moxley, as Yuta distracted the ref, allowing Shafir to jump up and rake the eyes of Briscoe. At 5 minutes past the hour, we go to another commercial break.
When things returned, Moxley got a cheap shot in on Page before hitting a piledriver on Briscoe. Yuta & Castagnoli swarmed Hobbs ringside, leaving Briscoe alone in his corner. Briscoe bit free from a superplex and hit a shotgun dropkick, as Page rose up and made the hot tag to a huge reaction. House of fire (pun intended for Hangman) as Page continued to limp from the All In main event, but dropped Yuta with a pop-up powerbomb for two. Fastball Special connected, but as they went for a Doomsday Device, Page landed on his feet and sent Castagnoli outside where Briscoe hit a dive. Page connected with an Orihara Moonsault, as back inside, Page wanted Buckshot, but Moxley flew in to rake the eyes. Moxley walked back into a Spinebuster, but Yuta ran in with a Busaiku Knee, only for Briscoe to fly in with a Froggy Bow. Castagnoli ducked a Buckshot, tried a Neutralizer, but Page got a jackknife for the flash pin.
Post-match, Moxley blindsided Page as Death Riders kept up the attack with Briscoe & Hobbs sent outside. We see Darby Allin at the top of the Ballroom, which was enough for Moxley to become distracted and Page fly in with a Buckshot. Death Riders retreat, as Page, Hobbs & Briscoe stand tall with Allin staring down Moxley and crew before looking back at Page and company as the show ends.
Match Result: Hangman Adam Page, Powerhouse Hobbs & Mark Briscoe defeated Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta when Page pinned Castagnoli
