AEW Rampage viewership up in return to normal time slot

In the show’s return to its normal time slot, Friday night’s edition of AEW Rampage averaged 475,000 viewers on TNT, up 39.3 percent from the previous week when Rampage aired three and a half hours earlier.

This is the largest audience for Rampage since April 22.

Rampage finished 14th on the cable charts with a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is the exact same number Rampage drew the previous week. It matches the lowest rating the show has drawn in its normal time slot since debuting last August.

The big competition came in the form of an NHL playoff game on ESPN, which averaged 2.3 million viewers and drew a 0.74 rating in the 18-49 demo.

All of Rampage’s individual ratings categories were up with the exception of males 18-49, which is why the overall 18-49 number was even. The biggest increase was with people over 50, which were up 76.9 percent to a 0.23 rating. That’s tied for Rampage’s second-highest number of the year with people over 50 and is the main reason for the overall viewership increase.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and individual ratings demos for Rampage, along with the 10-week averages prior to this week in all categories. This week’s show was up 9.2 percent in overall viewers but down 12.5 percent in 18-49 as compared to the 10-week averages. It should be noted that — in five of the previous 10 weeks — Rampage aired outside of its regular time slot.
