AEW Dynamite viewership down, finishes fourth on cable against NBA playoffs

Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 930,000 viewers on TBS, down 4.8 percent from last week. It’s the show’s second-lowest audience of the year so far.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite finished fourth on the cable charts with a 0.37 rating. It’s the same rating as the show drew in the demo last week. Dynamite trailed only two NBA playoff games on TNT and the post-game show that aired on the same network.

In many of the individual ratings categories, Dynamite’s numbers were even with last week. There was a big increase with males 12-34, rising by 17.9 percent, but females in that same age group dropped by 21.1 percent.

The main reason for the decline in overall viewership was that people over 50 dropped by 10.5 percent to a 0.34 rating.

As compared with the same week in 2021, Dynamite was down 15.8 percent in overall viewers but steady in the 18-49 demo.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of viewership and individual demo ratings for Dynamite. This week’s show was down 6.1 percent in viewers and down 2.6 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages in both categories.
