AEW Dynamite ratings up, just shy of one million viewers


Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite averaged 997,000 viewers on TBS, up 32.6 percent from last week’s episode that was moved to Tuesday. It’s up 1.4 percent from the last Wednesday airing and is the highest audience total for the show since October 5.
In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite finished fifth on the cable charts with a 0.32 rating, up 23.1 percent from last week and identical to the last Wednesday airing.
The big sports competition on the night was the NBA on ESPN, which aired head-to-head with Dynamite and averaged 1.8 million viewers. The NBA game drew a 0.64 rating in 18-49.
Dynamite doubled its audience with females 12-34 from last week. There was also a big increase with people over 50. The 0.46 rating that Dynamite drew with people over 50 is the show’s second-best number of the year in that demo.
As compared to the same week in 2021, Dynamite was up six percent in overall viewers but down 20 percent in 18-49.
