AEW Dynamite ratings down, ties WWE Raw in 18-49 demo

Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite averaged 969,000 viewers on TBS, down 4.1 percent from the previous week’s station debut. It’s the lowest viewership for Dynamite since December 15.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite drew a 0.39 rating, matching the number drawn by this week’s episode of WWE Raw. Dynamite finished third overall on cable for the night. The show was down 9.3 percent from last week, but this is still Dynamite’s second-highest rating in the demo since October.

Raw did have slightly more viewers than Dynamite in the 18-49 demo (507,000 to 505,000), but it’s essentially a statistical tie with both rounding to the same rating. Raw faced some of its toughest competition of the year this week in the form of the college football national championship game.

Looking at the individual ratings categories, Dynamite was down in all age groups except for people over 50, where the rating was identical to last week. The biggest drop was in the 18-34 age group, which was down 23.5 percent from last week. Females 12-34 were also down 25 percent, but males in that age group were only down 13.8 percent.

As compared to the same week in 2021 (when the show still had NXT as head-to-head competition), Dynamite was up 27.2 percent in overall viewers and up 30 percent in 18-49.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo numbers for Dynamite, along with the 10-week averages prior to this week. This week’s show was up 3.5 percent in overall viewers and up 11.4 percent in 18-49 from the recent averages.
