AEW Dynamite ratings down, finishes first on cable

Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 939,000 viewers on TBS, down 3.1 percent from last week. It’s still the second-highest audience total for the show since April 13.
In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite topped the cable charts with a 0.34 rating, down 15 percent from last week. That’s the lowest 18-49 demo rating for the show since May 18.
The second half of Dynamite went up against an NBA Finals game on ABC, which averaged 11.5 million viewers and drew a 3.65 rating in 18-49 to top all of television for the night.
Dynamite’s ratings were even or down in every single demo with the exception of people over 50, which were up 8.8 percent from last week. That’s the reason the show’s overall viewership held up as well as it did despite the huge NBA competition.
As compared to the same week in 2021, when the show was moved to Saturday due to NBA playoff coverage on TNT, Dynamite was up 92.8 percent in overall audience and up 79 percent in 18-49.
Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and individual demo ratings for Dynamite, as well as the 10-week averages prior to this week in all demos. This week’s show was up 1.1 percent in overall viewers but down 5.6 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages in both categories.
