AEW Dynamite live results: St. Patrick’s Day Slam
AEW Dynamite: St. Patrick’s Day Slam airs live tonight from San Antonio, Texas.
The AEW Women’s World title will be on the line in a steel cage match, with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. defending against Thunder Rosa.
The TNT Championship will also be up for grabs, as new title holder Scorpio Sky defends against Face of the Revolution ladder match winner Wardlow.
The Hardys will make their in-ring AEW debut as a team, as Matt and Jeff take on Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen of Private Party.
After their formation on last week’s episode, the Jericho Appreciation Society will hold a commencement ceremony tonight. The group consists of Chris Jericho, 2point0, Jake Hager, and Daniel Garcia.
Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson, with William Regal in their corner, take on Chuck Taylor and Wheeler Yuta, with Orange Cassidy and Danhausen in their corner.
AEW World Champion Hangman Page will team with AEW Tag Team Champions Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus against Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly.

Show Report —
Jim Ross opened the show with a “Hey yo!”, which was really nice to hear.
Adam Cole & reDRagon (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) defeated Hangman Page, Jungle Boy, & Luchasaurus
Jungle Boy and Cole started off, with the former getting the upper hand after a hurricanrana. Luchasaurus and Fish tagged in and the big man took out everyone with frying-pan chops. reDRagon rolled to the floor and kicked out Luchasaurus’s leg. They isolated him in the corner with frequent tags.
Eventually, the dinosaur exploded out and reached Page for the tag. Page ran wild on everyone, hitting Fish with a fallaway slam, a pescado on Cole and O’Reilly, and then a tope suicida on both for good measure. He hit a pop-up powerbomb on Fish for two. Fish rolled out of the way of the Buckshot, but Jungle Boy wiped everyone out with a flip dive.
Page, Jungle Boy, and Luchasaurus hit three simultaneous moonsaults and Jungle Boy’s cover on Fish got two. With the referee distracted, Cole landed a kick on Jungle Boy and reDRagon hit some combination offense for two. They continued to isolate Jungle Boy through a commercial break.
Once back, Jungle Boy hit the rebound lariat and reached Luchasaurus for the tag. Luchasaurus took out all three opponents, concluding with a chokeslam of Fish onto O’Reilly and a moonsault double pin for two. He and Jungle Boy set up for the Doomsday Device, but reDRagon countered it. O’Reilly put Luchasaurus in a knee bar, but Page overpowered Cole to break it up.
Page and Cole tagged in and teed off on each other. Page hit the Deadeye, then we got a parade of big moves. Jungle Boy hit a double Doomsday Device for a good near fall, but reDRagon hit the High Low and Cole lowered the Boom for the win.

Keith Lee and Team Taz were backstage. Lee will face Max Caster on Rampage, but Starks told Lee not to show up on his show and attacked him as a result. Starks said that if Lee showed up again, the same thing would happen.

A Kris Statlander video played where she took off makeup interspersed between footage of her struggling in the ring. A character change may be in the works.

William Regal joined commentary. His reaction to Danhausen: “Pray tell, man with the mask, who is the demon waif?”
Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson defeated Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Wheeler YUTA) (w/ Orange Cassidy, Trent? Baretta, & Danhausen)
Moxley and Danielson attacked right at the bell and just beat the devil out of YUTA to start. YUTA finally got some space and tagged in Chuckie, who landed a plancha on Moxley before locking Danielson in a single-leg crab. Danielson got a tag to Moxley, who took out Chuckie as Regal’s team regained their dominance through a commercial.
Once back, YUTA got something of a hot tag but was quickly cut off with a lariat from Moxley. YUTA did land a German suplex bridge for two, but a brief distraction from Danielson allowed Moxley to hit a jumping cutter followed by a Hart Attack for two. Moxley hit a DDT on Chuckie on the floor as Danielson laid in Yes kicks in the ring.
YUTA fired up on Danielson but was taken out with a Saito suplex. Danielson bridged on another for a good near fall. He then kicked YUTA’s head in followed by Moxley tagging in and applying the Bulldog Choke for the submission.
– After the match, YUTA turned away from the Best Friends walking up the ramp and offered Regal a handshake. Regal slapped him in the face. They exchanged words before the segment ended.

FTR was backstage. Cash said they fired Tully because of their lack of focus. The Young Bucks walked up and mocked them, saying they’d always be the second-best tag team in AEW.

The Acclaimed were backstage. They both talked about how Caster would beat Keith Lee on Rampage. Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs walked up and demanded Caster take care of business, but then Swerve Strickland walked up and essentially challenged Starks to a match.

Jericho Appreciation Society commencement
Matt Lee started by saying the only reason the fans get to sing “Judas” is that Jericho made it possible. “Jericho is a better man than me.” Jeff Parker said Jericho deserves to be praised and idolized for his contributions to both wrestling and as a human being.
Jericho said the earth has been around for 4.5 billion years, and we are lucky to be around at the same time as him. “If there was no Chris Jericho, there’d be no AEW.” But instead of praising Jericho, people complain and insult him on social media. He’s the greatest performer in history, and the fans don’t appreciate him.
The Inner Circle may not appreciate Jericho, but these men do, and that’s why they’re the Jericho Appreciation Society. They don’t relate to the rest of the AEW roster, because the rest of the roster are just pro wrestlers. Jericho isn’t that: he’s a “sports entertainer.”
Garcia said if Jericho calls himself a sports entertainer, “then I am too.” Jericho talked Garcia up, referencing his notable car accident from January 2019 — that Jericho donated towards. Jericho said 2point0 (“A bad name from bad creative”) would use their real names from now on. He said he was the reason they have a job at AEW (after a call from Kevin Owens).
Jericho said Hager was the “hand of the king.” Hager said “We are the J.A.S., and we beat up pro wrestlers.” Jericho closed by saying this date commenced the era of the sports entertainer in AEW.

Serena Deeb addressed Hikaru Shida, saying she was in Shida’s head. She’ll be responsible for ending Shida’s career.

TNT Championship: Scorpio Sky (c) (w/ American Top Team) defeated Wardlow
Sky laid in body shots early on, which only served to infuriate the challenger. Wardlow attacked with shoulders to the gut and slammed Sky, who rolled to the floor. On the outside, VanZant and Vanderford distracted Wardlow, allowing Sky to hit a baseball slide and take control.
Upon return, Sky was taunting Wardlow in the corner, leading to the big man taking the champ down with overhead belly-to-belly suplexes. Sky escaped a powerbomb attempt, but Wardlow was able to hit a spinebuster nonetheless.
He called for the Powerbomb Symphony and hit one, then another, then a third. On a fourth, Lambert distracted Wardlow, allowing Sky to roll to the floor.
Shawn Spears emerged on the ramp, chairs in hand. MJF then came out of nowhere and drove Wardlow into the ring post. Sky then rolled Wardlow up for the win.
– After the match, everyone tried to beat down Wardlow, but Wardlow fought everyone off and isolated MJF. He had MJF in powerbomb position, but Spears hit Wardlow with a chair and Vanderford locked on a sleeper. Wardlow apparently has no friends to make the save. Spears then hit Wardlow over the head with the chair as MJF paid off Lambert for the assist. MJF struck Wardlow with the Dynamite Diamond Ring and posed to close the segment.

Jade Cargill and Mark Sterling were backstage. Jade’s about to be 30-0, and they both want to know who’s next.

The Hardys (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy) defeated Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)
Matt’s completely back to his previous character — no sign of Big Money Matt. He and Jeff turned back the clock with a double team early on. The Hardys isolated Quen with frequent tags. Private Party returned fire with a double team on Matt. With the official distracted, Private Party crotched Matt around the ring post, allowing them to take control into the commercial.
Back from break, Quen used a distraction to land a great tope con giro onto Matt. Private Party hit a double team for two. Matt was finally able to reach Jeff for the hot tag.
Jeff ran wild on Kassidy with some cool leg drops, including one that fell into a pinning predicament for two. He set up for the Swanton Bomb, but Quen pulled him down. Matt hit a Side Effect on Quen, then Jeff hit a top-rope splash on Kassidy for two. Kassidy countered a Twist of Fate, Matt stopped the Silly String, then the Hardys each hit Twists of Fate. Jeff then landed the Swanton bomb for the win.
– After the match, Andrade El Idolo (and the newly minted Andrade Family Office) strolled down the ramp. They surrounded the ring, but Sting and Darby Allin came out to even the odds.

Red Velvet was backstage. She said that Leyla Hirsch changed — she was her friend, but now Velvet’s going to put a stop to it.

An all-female mariachi band played the hometown Rosa out. That was so great.
AEW Women’s World Championship Steel Cage: Thunder Rosa defeated Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. (c) to win the championship
This was incredible. Seriously, just as good as their first match a year ago. Must-see.
Baker quickly tried to escape the cage, but Rosa stopped her — that didn’t really make sense as this match can only be won by pinfall or submission. Rosa downed Baker with a lariat and drove her into the cage. She dragged Baker’s face across the cage, and Baker was slightly busted open. Baker gained control on the floor, and Rosa was bleeding as well ahead of the break.
During commercial, Baker produced some chairs and tossed them into the ring. Rosa avoided a chair shot and hit clotheslines before whacking Baker with the chair. She had a great crimson mask interspersed with her face paint. Rosa then hit a stunner and a corner clothesline followed by the running low dropkick for two.
Baker inadvertently(?) hit the official with a superkick. Rosa hit the Fire Thunder driver for the visual pin, but there was no referee to count. She propped a chair on Baker and climbed, but Baker stopped her with chair shots. Baker hit an avalanche air raid crash onto a pile of chairs in a brutal spot.
Aubrey Edwards came out to make the count, but Rosa kicked out in a great near fall. There was an awesome camera shot with blood streaming down Baker’s face that looked uncannily like the famous image from their match a year ago.
Baker got in the official’s face and set up a ridiculous chair structure. She took too much time, and both women fought standing on the top rope. Rosa drove Baker into the cage, and she fell hard onto the chair structure. Rosa covered for two.
After the cover, Baker popped up and threw a superkick to buy herself some time. She brought out a bag of thumbtacks and poured them all over the middle of the ring. Rosa countered a neckbreaker, but Baker then back body dropped Rosa onto the tacks and covered for two.
Baker put on the glove, flipped off the camera, and went for the Lockjaw, but Rosa bit Baker’s hand to stop her. Baker floated over to the other side, but Rosa smashed Baker’s hand onto the tacks. Rosa then powerbombed Baker onto the tacks.
Rosa then hit the Fire Thunder Driver to win the championship.
– Rosa was in tears and confetti came down from the rafters to end the show.
