Show Report —
Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, and Adam Cole were backstage. Omega said he was disgusted, saying there’s things he has to fix and change, and he can’t do it here. He asked the Bucks to hold it down while he’s gone, and Cole said “Cleaner, I got this.” Omega told Cole he was only referring to the Bucks, and Nick told Cutler to stop filming.

Hangman Page championship celebration
This was a home run of a segment. Page is AEW’s top star and Danielson has never been better.
It’s National Cowboy Sh*t Day. The Dark Order were already in the ring, and John Silver introduced Page, who made his entrance. The fans chanted “You deserve it,” and Page corrected them, saying “I earned it.” The crowd obliged with a chant. Page said he’s usually pretty shy, but now he’s the AEW world champion, so he’s going to do what he wants: celebrate National Cowboy Sh*t Day with everyone.
Page said that the AEW world championship means a lot of responsibility, and his first responsibility is taking on Bryan Danielson. Danielson’s music played and he walked out. He congratulated Page, but he’s a little surprised and disappointed that it’s not Kenny Omega standing across from him. Page came back saying he beat Omega at Full Gear — in less than 30 minutes.
Danielson said he didn’t come here to start something, but he’s going to kick Page’s ass. Danielson cares about wrestling, unlike Page, who just flaps his gums. When he won the title at WrestleMania, he wrestled the very next day. Page suggested they fight right now, and the crowd chanted “Yes!”, but Danielson didn’t think Page was ready. He doesn’t want Page to use that as an excuse when he beats him.
They got in each other’s face and exchanged shoves, and the Dark Order kept them apart. The crowd chanted “Let them fight!”, but Danielson said they wouldn’t do that. Page broke free and attacked, but Danielson escaped to the floor.
Bryan Danielson defeated Evil Uno
Uno got the advantage early on, so Danielson just slapped him across the face and laid in kicks and chops. Danielson dominated and Uno fired up with a corner attack and a hurricanrana. The hanging neckbreaker followed for two. Danielson starched Uno with slaps, jawing with him the whole time, before landing corner dropkicks. Uno cut off a third and wen for a senton atomico, but Danielson got the knees up.
Danielson landed the Busaiku knee and laid in repeated stomps before locking on the triangle for the referee stoppage.
– After the match, Tony Schiavone asked Danielson about the mixed fan reception. Danielson said he came out to congratulate Page, but because of Page’s behavior, he ended up kicking Uno’s head in. He’s going to take every member of the Dark Order and kick all their heads in. Next week, they’re in Chicago, so he’s going to kick Colt Cabana’s head in.

An MJF video promo aired from after his match with Darby Allin. MJF said he wasn’t covered in paint, he’s covered in shame. Everyone said MJF couldn’t wrestle, that he was only good on the microphone, but he proved that he could wrestle. Even though everyone hates his guts, they have no choice to admit just how good he is. He beat Allin with a headlock takeover, and gesturing as if he was wearing a belt, he asked “who knows what’s next for MJF?”

Eddie Kingston was about to be interviewed by Schiavone, but 2point0 and Daniel Garcia interrupted. They said Kingston didn’t last as long against Punk as Garcia did. Kingston said he doesn’t respect Garcia and shoved him.

CHAOS (Orange Cassidy & Tomohiro Ishii) (w/ Best Friends & Rocky Romero) defeated The Butcher & The Blade (w/ Matt Hardy & The Bunny)
Ishii won NJPW’s NEVER Openweight Championship this weekend. He and Butcher started off, but Blade immediately tagged himself in. He laid in forearms, but Ishii wouldn’t give any ground and dropped Blade with one shot. Orange tagged in and did his hands-in-pockets schtick until Butcher blind tagged himself in and crushed Orange with a tackle. Bunny and Hardy attacked Orange on the floor ahead of the break.
Orange made his comeback upon return from commercial and reached Ishii for the hot tag. Ishii took out Blade with a shoulder tackle and laid in chops. A backdrop suplex got two. Butcher tagged in and they traded forearms in the center of the ring. Butcher laid in chops in the corner, but Ishii snapped and began to lean into them. Ishii placed Butcher on the top rope and landed a big-time superplex.
Butcher and Blade got the advantage after Orange tagged in, but the latter quickly countered with a DDT on Blade for a near fall. Hardy distracted Orange and Butcher and Blade hit a combo suplex, but Ishii broke up the pin and tagged himself in. Ishii laid in his combination in the corner. Hardy and Bunny distracted him, and the Blade got the brass knuckles, but Romero pulled him out of the ring and Orange landed a dive on H.F.O.
Ishii then crushed Blade with a lariat and the vertical drop brainbuster for the win.

Nyla Rose (w/ Vickie Guerrero) defeated Hikaru Shida in the TBS Championship tournament
Neither woman could establish much of an advantage early on. Shida sent Rose to the floor, but Rose cut Shida off upon re-entry to the ring. She targeted Shida’s knee. Vickie choked Shida with a kendo stick when the official wasn’t looking. Shida started a bit of a comeback by sending Rose into the barricade. She picked up a chair and teased her step-up knee, but Rose leveled her with a lariat. Rose perched Shida on the chair and went for a cannonball senton, but Shida rolled out of the way and Rose went crashing through the chair.
Shida caught a kendo stick shot from Vickie and whacked her with it. Rose attacked Shida’s knee ahead of the break. Once back, Serena Deeb showed up and attacked Shida’s knee herself. Rose perched Shida over the top rope and landed her diving knee for two. She went for the Beast Bomb, but Shida turned it into a triangle. Rose powered out with a powerbomb.
Rose went for a top-rope senton but Shida rolled out of the way and cradled Rose for two. Rose caught a kick and applied a cool standing stretch muffler for the submission victory.

Malakai Black talked about the definition of a nightmare. He said his team in the eight-man tag would haunt his four opponents. He told his opponents to take deep breaths while oxygen is still on their side.

MJF promo
MJF walked out flanked by Wardlow and Shawn Spears. He asked Spears to shut the crowd up, and Spears failed. MJF told the crowd they’re looking at the guy who checks all the boxes, the most complete pro wrestler on this planet. He’s the past, the present, and the future of professional wrestling, and could take a “big old cowboy sh*t” right on Hangman Page’s title reign. MJF deserves to be the next AEW world champion, because nobody in that locker room is on his level.
CM Punk’s music played and he walked out. There were lots of chants. MJF introduced himself and offered a handshake, but Punk just turned around and walked off.
**********
Darby Allin was interviewed backstage. Allin said MJF didn’t break him mentally, and they would have a rematch at some point. He’s not taking time off, and he wants the best and baddest of AEW. The Gunn Club walked up and Billy challenged Allin to a match.
**********
SuperKliq were backstage. They said Full Gear was one of the worst nights of their lives. Neither of the Young Bucks are even cleared anymore. SuperKliq will come back stronger than ever, and Rampage will be Adam Cole & Bobby Fish against the Jurassic Express. Fish walked up and promised to put an end to the Jurassic joke. They teased dissension at the end.

Lio Rush & Dante Martin defeated The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens)
Caster did his rapping gimmick before the match, so Rush and Dante took them out with dives. They worked seamlessly as a team to take out Bowens with a double team for two and kept up the advantage until Caster tripped Dante without being the legal man. The Acclaimed beat Dante down with repeated tags through the commercial.
Back from break, Rush got the hot tag and took out both members of the Acclaimed. An axe kick got two. Bowens rolled out of the way of the frog splash and Dante missed his double springboard moonsault. Bowens took out Rush with kicks, but Dante came back with a springboard dropkick on Bowens.
The Acclaimed regrouped and hit the Mic Drop into Acclaim To Fame on Rush, but Dante broke up the pin. Dante hit his double springboard moonsault, then Rush hit the frog splash for the win.
– After the match, Team Taz walked out and congratulated Rush and Dante. Taz offered condolences to Rush and his family. He talked about offering Dante a contract last week in Rush’s absence. Starks said they’d be patient and brought up that they were patient with Hobbs. The choice between Team Taz and Rush is the choice between a hall of fame career and a mediocre one.

Christian Cage and Jurassic Express were backstage. Christian said it was one of the best nights of their careers. Jungle Boy said the change inside him is here to stay. They’re better now than they’ve ever been, and they’d see Cole and Fish on Friday.

Before the match, Lethal told Guevara to get ready for the toughest fight of his life.
TNT Championship: Sammy Guevara (c) defeated Jay Lethal
Great main event.
This is Lethal’s first AEW match, while Guevara had taped-up ribs. Tony Nese was shown in the crowd. Guevara countered a quick Lethal Injection attempt into a GTH hold, but Lethal fought out and they exchanged cradles until a stalemate. Lethal got control and hit the Lethal Combination, but Guevara sent Lethal to the floor and landed a major dive. Back in the ring, Guevara attempted a shooting star press, but Lethal got his knees up, leading to the commercial break.
During the commercial, officials checked on Guevara, who may have legitimately injured his midsection in some way. He stood up really gingerly. Once back, Guevara fired back into the ring and was flapjacked by Lethal, so yeah, Guevara appears to be fine. Guevara countered the Lethal Injection into a Spanish Fly. Lethal sent Guevara to the outside and went for a tope suicida, but Guevara stopped it and landed a brainbuster on the floor.
Guevara landed a bicycle knee on the outside. Lethal fell backwards onto a table, so Guevara went for a senton atomico, but Lethal moved out of the way and Guevara crashed through. Lethal went for the top-rope elbow drop but Guevara turned it into a cradle for a near fall. Guevara flipped out of a lariat attempt, but Lethal turned him inside out with an inverted suplex for two.
Lethal locked on the Figure Four in the center of the ring. Guevara had to fight to reach the ropes. He kneed Lethal in the face and went for the GTH, but his midsection was too hurt. Guevara landed multiple rising knees and hit the GTH for the win.
