Santana & Ortiz defeated Best Friends

This was a fun brawl to open the show.

Best Friends jumped Santana and Ortiz as they entered. The teams brawled around ringside. Taylor got launched off the stage on to a pile of chairs and was down for several minutes.

Trent and Santana began the match as the legal men. Trent hit a tope suicida to Ortiz but missed a spear on Santana and ran into the barricade.

Taylor got a hot tag and hit a tope con giro to both Santana and Ortiz. Taylor used sole food for a near fall on Santana and a sunset flip for another two count.

Trent tagged in and got speared off the apron onto the ring steps. Santana and Ortiz went for a Street Sweeper but Santana got pulled off the apron by Taylor. Trent hit a Crunchie on Ortiz but Santana placed Ortiz’s arm on the ropes to force a break.

Santana used a baton and hit Trent in the back. Santana and Ortiz hit the Street Sweeper and Santana pinned Trent.

MJF was backstage. Lee Johnson told him that Mark Sterling had locked himself in the locker room and was refusing to come out.

Wardlow kicked the door in and MJF cut a promo on Sterling. He threatened Sterling and insisted that he show up for the match with Moxley tonight.

The Young Bucks & Jurassic Express defeated SCU and Private Party

This was another very good match. The tag matches on this show of late have been excellent.

Kazarian and Jungle Boy began with a hot exchange, trading one counts. Matt tagged in and got cut off by Private Party. Kassidy hit a springboard tijeras and Matt rolled outside. A fan taunted Matt with a Hangman sign. Matt poured the fan’s beer over his head.

Daniels tagged in and got cut off by Matt and Nick. Daniels made his own comeback. Kazarian and Jungle Boy tagged back in. Kazarian hit a leg slice on Nick on the apron.

Kaz brought Nick in with a slingshot cutter. Daniels hit a moonsault to the floor on both Bucks while Kaz continued working on Jungle Boy inside.

Private Party hit a tandem facebuster on Jungle Boy. Daniels tagged in and continued working Jungle Boy over. SCU and Private Party worked on Jungle Boy through a commercial break.

Kassidy and Daniels accidentally ran into each other allowing Jungle Boy to make a hot tag to Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus ran wild with kicks and a moonsault off the apron.

Luchasaurus and Matt hit stereo standing moonsaults followed by stereo top rope splashes from Nick and Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy tagged back in and got cut off yet again.

Matt accidentally hit a superkick on Jungle Boy. Kassidy hit a senton atomico for a near fall. Everyone hopped in for a big move. Jungle Boy hit a tope suicida to Daniels, Kassidy and Kaz. Luchasaurus hit a Tail Whip on Quen.

Matt blind tagged in. The Bucks hit the BTE Trigger on Quen and pinned him.

Jake Hager was backstage in Orange Cassidy’s locker room. Hager told Cassidy that Jericho wants him ringside for Jericho’s match tonight and it would be smart of him to be there.

**********

Tully Blanchard gave FTR a pep talk backstage.

Dax and Cash cut a promo and said winning the tag match at All Out would make a seven-figure difference in their annual income and they’re going to win no matter how much they like and respect Hangman.

**********

Tony Schiavone was in the ring and called out Kenny Omega for a promo. Omega entered wearing a Hana Kimura tribute shirt.

Schiavone asked Omega about Page’s actions last week. Omega said that everyone makes mistakes and Page got taken in by the FTR cockroaches. Omega said everyone lives and learns and at All Out, FTR will fall to Omega and Page.

FTR and Blanchard came to the ring. FTR offered Omega a chocolate milk from their cooler. Omega called FTR something that got bleeped out and said that if they were going to fight they should get it over with.

Page entered. FTR told Page to tell Omega that they hadn’t gotten to Page to make him turn on the Bucks, but Page did it himself. They had a staredown. FTR begged off. Page stood in the ring by himself. Omega stood by himself on the floor.

Someone is turning on someone soon. This was supposed to add intrigue to that situation. It didn’t for me.

Alex Marvez interviewed Jericho. Jericho made a joke about Marvez never kissing a woman again. Jericho said he’s made Cassidy a bigger star, he’s shown his mean streak, he’s shown he can cut a promo, but at All Out he’s going to put a bullet in him.

Jericho warned Joey Janela and said he’s going to be a sacrifice tonight.

Chris Jericho (w/Jake Hager) defeated Joey Janela

Jericho won a squash with the Liontamer.

**********

Jericho exposed a buckle after the match and sent Janela into it. Janela was bloodied. Jericho wiped the blood on his Orange Cassidy shirt and threw the shirt at Cassidy. Cassidy jumped into the ring and went after Jericho.

Hager blocked Cassidy and started beating him down. Sonny Kiss ran in and hit Jericho with a forearm. Hager left the ring to check on Jericho.

Cassidy posed with a bottle of bubbly while Jericho and Hager looked on from the floor. Jericho promised to show Cassidy that he is the better man.

**********

Sammy Guevara and Matt Hardy sent each other dueling cue card messages about their match on Saturday during a commercial break. Hardy stood on top an entrance tunnel while Guevara stood on the stage.

These poor guys. They got a seven minute table match with a commercial break last week and this week their angle was during a commercial break. It certainly doesn’t feel like Matt’s career being on the line is a big deal.

**********

Team Taz came to the ring to cut a promo. Taz promised that one of his guys will win the Casino Battle Royale on Saturday.

Jake Roberts and Lance Archer entered. Roberts said this was tit for tat and he was interrupting Taz because Taz did the same to him last week. Roberts made some very strange sexual references in his promo about Team Taz being losers.

Eddie Kingston and his faction came out. Kingston totally owned Jake in a promo and said Archer is tough but not as tough as Kingston.

Darby Allin’s music hit, then everyone involved in the battle royale made their way to the ring and began brawling. They brawled through a commercial break.

The announce team threw to a video package for the Dark Order vs. Cardona, Natural Nightmares & Scorpio Sky match. Everyone did some good promo work in this video. Good stuff.

**********

Thunder Rosa defeated Serena Deeb

I’m not sure what it says about your women’s division when you bring in two women from outside the company and they have the best match in the division in months.

I’m not sure that having Rosa go back and forth with Deeb when she’s challenging for the title on Saturday was the right way to go either, but the match was quite good.

Deeb went after the left arm and left knee as they traded holds. It broke down into a striking battle. Rosa hit some arm drags. They went back and forth with strikes. Rosa hit a running legdrop.

Rosa hit a dropkick in the corner. Rosa used a neck tie. Deeb slid out and used an octopus hold. Deeb went for a piledriver. Rosa escaped and hit a death valley driver.

They traded cradles for one counts. Rosa hit a one-legged dropkick, then hit the Thunder Driver for the pin.

**********

Jon Moxley cut a promo on MJF backstage. He said it’s championship week and MJF has made it to the top of the rankings. He said on Saturday all the distractions go away and it’s just him and MJF, kill or be killed.

Mox said it will have to be the meanest, nastiest MJF we’ve ever seen to beat him. He said it’s MJF’s moment, but everything he’s done until now has been easy.

**********

Schiavone interviewed Big Swole. Swole promised to fight Britt Baker tooth and nail on Saturday at The Buy In.

Reba approached disguised as a pizza delivery person. Baker attacked Swole from behind with a crutch. Baker used Lockjaw on Swole and threw pizza on her.

The announcers made jokes about pepperoni, pineapple on pizza and generally treated this as a joke.

Baker and Swole’s match on Saturday is now a “Tooth and Nail” match. I have no idea what that means and it was never explained.

**********

Sterling entered for the main event. He was wearing a padded outfit. Sterling acted as though he was trying to get away. Wardlow followed him out and made sure he got in the ring.

**********

Jon Moxley defeated Mark Sterling

Moxley offered Sterling some free shots. Sterling poked Moxley in the eye. Moxley beat Sterling around ringside and hit him with a shoe.

Moxley returned the eye poke and hit the Paradigm Shift for the pin.

**********

Wardlow jumped Moxley immediately after the bell. MJF slowly walked to the ring with his walker and neck brace before doing away with the brace and the walker.

MJF hammered Moxley with stomps and right hands. Wardlow handed MJF the Dynamite diamond ring. MJF hit Moxley with a right hand with the ring. Moxley bled. MJF bit at the cut on Moxley’s head.

MJF stood over Mox and posed with the title to close the show.
