AEW Dynamite back over one million viewers, tops cable charts

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite averaged 1.028 million viewers on TBS, up 24.8 percent from last week. It’s the largest audience total for the show since October 5 of last year.

This was the first week Dynamite was not head-to-head with the NBA since the start of the current season.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite topped the cable charts with a 0.35 rating, up 29.6 percent from last week. It matches Dynamite’s best rating in the key demo since September 14.

Dynamite’s ratings were up from last week in every demo with the exception of women 18-49, which were even with last week. The biggest increase came with males 12-34, which were up 52.4 percent. The 0.32 rating was Dynamite’s highest in that category since April 20 of last year and the second highest since November 2019.

As compared to the same week in 2022, Dynamite was up 1.8 percent in overall viewers but down 12.5 percent in 18-49. There was also no NBA competition this week last year due to the All-Star break.

Dana White’s Power Slap League, which airs immediately after Dynamite on TBS, averaged 309,000 viewers and finished 43rd on the charts with a 0.10 rating in 18-49. That’s up from last week’s 275,000 viewers and 0.09 rating in the demo, likely due to the stronger lead-in.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and individual demo ratings for Dynamite, along with the 10-week averages in all categories. This week’s show was up 11.6 percent in overall viewers and up 16.7 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
