AEW, DAZN announce multi-year broadcast deal for 42 international markets

AEW and DAZN have reached a deal for DAZN to carry AEW programming in 42 markets across Europe and Asia.

It was announced on Thursday that DAZN has “secured exclusive broadcast rights” to AEW in those 42 markets. It’s a multi-year agreement between the two sides. The deal doesn’t include countries like the United Kingdom and Ireland where AEW currently has other existing broadcast agreements.

The countries where DAZN will carry AEW programming are: Albania, Alderney, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Georgia, Gibraltar, Greece, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Jan Mayen Islands, Jersey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Svalbard, Sweden, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.

The deal is effective immediately and will include AEW Dynamite, Rampage, Battle of the Belts, AEW pay-per-views, AEW Dark, and AEW Dark: Elevation.

“The introduction of AEW to DAZN’s schedule is another major addition to the breadth of multi-sport content available on the platform and further cements DAZN as a growing global home of combat sports,” a press release announcing the deal touted.

DAZN also announced an international distribution partnership with Impact Wrestling this past November. That deal is for more than 170 countries worldwide.
