AEW Dark results: Johnny Elite vs. Marq Quen, Darby Allin vs. Brandon Cutler

This special Saturday edition of AEW Dark was filmed at Friday’s Rampage tapings from the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Darby Allin defeated Brandon Cutler
Allin made quick work of Cutler and also managed to send a message to his Double or Nothing opponent, Kyle O’Reilly. After hitting Cutler with a suicide dive and a Coffin Drop, Allin locked him in Sting’s Scorpion Deathlock to get the submission.
After the match, Allin went to get a chair on the outside, possibly to do the same thing to Cutler that O’Reilly did to Sting, but Bobby Fish & O’Reilly came to the rescue and dragged Cutler out of there. Allin then got on the mic and said that he knows O’Reilly’s leg isn’t 100% and at Double or Nothing, he’s going to do to him what he did to Sting.
Anna Jay defeated Sandra Moone
Ahead of her TBS Championship match against Jade Cargill on Sunday, Jay got a tune-up match. The finish saw Jay hit a series of kicks and lock in the Queenslayer.
After the match, Cargill’s music hit and the TBS Champion made her way to the stage along with her Baddies and “Smart” Mark Sterling. They didn’t cut a promo, but yelled things at Jay before Cargill held up her title and eventually left.
House of Black (Malakai Black, Buddy Matthews & Brody King) defeated Adriel Noctis, Gregory Sharpe & Matt Brannigan
Other than a brief moment where their opponents tried to attack King three on one, this was all House of Black. It eventually came down to everyone in the ring at the same time. That’s when King hit a Gonzo bomb on one opponent and then hit a cannonball in the corner on another, and Matthews then hit what used to be called Murphy’s Law to pick up the victory.
Riho, Yuka Sakazaki & Skye Blue defeated Nyla Rose, Diamante & Emi Sakura
The heels used some underhanded tactics to gain the advantage early. After Riho hit Sakura with a bulldog, Sakura motioned to the ref that she had lost a tooth. With the ref’s attention diverted, Vickie Guerrero grabbed at Blue’s leg from the outside. Blue left the ring to confront her, but was hit with a big Rose clothesline. This allowed the heels to go on offense for a period.
The heels worked on Blue until she was able to make a hot tag to Sakazaki, who hit a springboard dropkick and a sliding lariat on Sakura. Sakazaki then hit her with the Merry Go Round but Rose broke up the pin. This brought everyone into the ring and the heels managed to get the advantage. They then worked on Sakazaki until eventually she was able to make a tag out to Riho.
Riho hit a crossbody on Diamante and then everyone was back in the ring again. The babyfaces knocked all the heels out of the ring and then all hit dives to the floor on top of their opponents. When things got back in the ring, Riho hit a northern lights suplex and meteora on Diamante for the win.
Death Triangle (PAC, Penta Oscuro, & Rey Fenix) defeated QT Marshall, Nick Comoroto & Aaron Solo
Death Triangle got the early advantage, hitting a trio of dives outside the ring onto their opponents.
Back in the ring, Comoroto managed to get the better of Fenix and the Factory started to isolate him. The Factory made use of quick tags and double teams to work on Fenix for a period until he eventually made a hot tag out to his brother.
Penta hit a diving crossbody and a sling blade on Marshall. Solo and Comoroto hit the ring and were taken out by both Lucha Bros. PAC then tagged in. He hit a springboard cutter on Marshall, a series of kicks, and a German suplex for a two count.
Marshall hit a springboard kick but couldn’t tag out since everyone was brawling on the outside. He then hit a Liger bomb on PAC for a two count. He finally tagged out to Solo and the Factory triple teamed PAC for a period.
Solo hit a double foot stomp on PAC, but Fenix came off the top to dramatically break up the pin after. The Lucha Bros gave Marshall a double superkick on the outside, taking him out of the equation.
Penta then tossed Comoroto into the steel steps, leaving Solo on his own. The Lucha Bros then hit Fear Factor and PAC locked in the Brutalizer and got the submission.
Johnny Elite defeated Marq Quen
Before the match, Isiah Kassidy cut a promo calling for anyone to come out and face Quen. This brought out Johnny Elite to answer the challenge for this unadvertised match.
Kassidy taunted Elite before the bell by putting on Elite’s jacket. This allowed Quen to attack from behind. Despite the underhanded tactic, Elite was able to take control of the match early.
Elite went to toss Quen out of the ring, but Private Party pulled their Silly String move and Quen hit a DDT as he bounced back in the ring.
Elite eventually fought back and hit what Excalibur called a wheelbarrow drop, a running knee to the face, and a shooting star press for a two count.
Elite went for a springboard kick and hit the ref square in the face. With the ref down, Private Party came in and double teamed Elite. They hit Snapshot on Elite and revived the ref. Elite got his shoulder up before the three count, however.
Quen missed a shooting star press, Elite dove and hit Kassidy on the outside and then kicked Quen into position for Starship Pain. He then hit it to get the victory.
After the match, some guy came into the ring, took Elite’s jacket, danced very strangely and then hugged him. They then both danced in very strange fashion as the show went off the air. It’s being said by some on social media that this guy was “Dad” played by Nathan Barnatt who competed as a boxer on a Creator Clash event and Elite accompanied him to the ring.
