AEW Dark Elevation results: Paul Wight, 10, FTR, Hirsch, Mizunami

It’s Monday and you know what that means: a five-match AEW Dark: Elevation that was taped last Saturday at Orlando, Florida’s Addition Financial Arena.

Leyla Hirsch & Ryo Mizunami defeated Diamante & Xtina Kay

Hirsch and Mizunami have natural chemistry as a tag team which you could tell by their entrance alone. From the start, Kay worked as a heel and even called out Hirsch, but she immediately regretted that decision thanks to some shoulder tackles and roll-ups by Hirsch.

Hirsch hit a great German suplex that got a great reaction. Mizunami did double chops to Diamante and Kay while also dancing. Hirsch picked up the win for her team with a running knee strike to Kay following a spear from Mizunami.

AAA Tag Team Champions FTR (w/ Tully Blanchard) defeated Mike Reed & Toa Liona in a non-title match

This was the AEW debut for Liona and this was also the first match from FTR as AAA Tag Team Champions. They were really over with the crowd and chanting “FTR” before the bell even rang. They did a lot of quick tags while working over Reed and also isolated Liona for a while. Once Liona was able to enter the ring, he showed a lot of power moves that FTR struggled with. This was a nice showcase for Liona as the fans really liked him. FTR (25-3) won after hitting the Big Rig on Reed.

Emi Sakura (w/ Lulu Pencil) defeated Reka Tehaka

Sakura continued with her path of destruction and this time out, her victim was Tehaka. Sakura worked Tehaka’s back for portions of the match. The two had a great exchange of chops and Tehaka won with a headbutt. Sakura (8-2) won with a spinning Vader bomb.

10 (w/ Dark Order) defeated QT Marshall (w/ The Factory)

10 came out with the Dark Order’s leader -1 on his shoulder to a massive pop. 10’s strength was a massive factor in this match. Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto intervened during the match on Marshall’s behalf, but the Dark Order members helped even the odds. Marshall’s eye swelled up really fast after a stiff forearm. 10 (30-4) won by submission with the full nelson and heads into his Wednesday match against Jon Moxley in the World title eliminator tournament.

Paul Wight defeated Carlie Bravo, Cole Karter & Arjun Singh

This match was the AEW debut of Bravo, Karter and Singh as a team. Wight dominated here, giving these three poor fellows massive chops where you could see their souls leave their bodies. Wight (3-0) won after landing a massive punch on Bravo.

Final Thoughts:

This was a fun episode of Elevation as every match had some spot or highlight to it. The match of the night was Hirsch & Mizunami vs. Diamante & Kay. The show also featured some promotion for Jon Moxley’s upcoming book about his life and wrestling career.
