AEW Dark Elevation results: HFO vs. Dark Order

It’s Monday and you know what that means: a six-match AEW Dark: Elevation taped last Wednesday at Indianapolis’ Indiana Farmers Coliseum.

Gunn Club defeated Nasty Russ, Shawn Cooke & T-Money

This match was the AEW debut for Russ, Cooke and T-Money as a trio. Billy Gunn won with a Famouser on T-Money to end a short match. Gunn Club is now 20-0 in AEW trios competition.

Emi Sakura, The Bunny & Nyla Rose (w/ Lulu Pencil, Mei Suruga & Vickie Guerrero) defeated Riho, Ryo Mizunami & Skye Blue

Sakura and her former apprentice Riho started the match. Blue and Riho started things with a combo of a facebuster and kicks to Sakura. Mizunami, Riho and Skye later did a trios move on Sakura that ended with them posing on her back. The flow of the match shifted for the heels thanks to Guerrero interfering when Riho tried to jump from the top rope. Mizunami’s combo of a spear and machine gun chops got a big pop.

Blue tried to go for a top rope hurricanrana, but Rose countered by catching and hitting the Beast Bomb to pick up the win.

HFO (Isiah Kassidy, Matt Hardy & The Blade) defeated The Dark Order (Stu Grayson, Evil Uno & Alan Angels)

Angels and Kassidy started with a great sprint as both showcased their speed. HFO outsmarted the Dark Order throughout the match to get the advantage with all three of them pulling Grayson into a turnbuckle at one point. Grayson had a great counter for the Leech by spinning out of it. Dark Order hit their own great trios spot as Angels and Grayson dove from the same turnbuckle while Uno did a cannonball on that same turnbuckle.

Angels went for a spanish fly and Kassidy used his momentum to roll up Angels to get the pin. This was an important win for Blade ahead of his tag team match with Butcher against Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii on Dynamite.

Andrade El Idolo (w/ Jose) defeated Lord Crewe

This match was Crewe’s AEW debut. It started with Andrade applying deep side headlocks. Andrade (5-2) won with a combination of a spinning suplex followed by a hammerlock DDT.

Since Andrade has been doing more Dark and Elevation matches, this most likely means they are building up his record as fast as possible so he can challenge for either the World or TNT titles.

Ruby Soho (w/ Billy Roc) defeated Charlie Kruel

This was Kruel’s AEW debut. Soho was accompanied to the ring with Roc, who trained her during the first years of her career. This was also her homecoming as she’s from the area. She had a great combo of high and low kicks on Kruel, leading to a win after hitting No Future. Soho is now 7-1 since joining AEW.

Dark Order’s John Silver defeated QT Marshall

As the match started, Marshall went to the ringside table and grabbed a microphone to cut a heel promo as the crowd chanted “Johnny Hungee.” He worked over Silver’s lower back with backbreakers and elbows. Silver rallied for a near fall on Marshall with a pop-up power bomb. He picked up the win with the spinning doctor bomb.

Final Thoughts:

This week’s show had a great crowd which helped elevate (no pun intended) the show. The in-ring action was good in all the matches with HFO vs. Dark Order and the women’s trios match as standouts.

This was also one of Mark Henry’s better performances in the commentary booth since he joined AEW.
