AEW promotes first Dynamite simulcast date on Max

AEW has begun to promote that their debut on the Max streaming service is officially less than two months away, calling it “the mother of all simulcasts.”
During Saturday’s Full Gear pre-show, they aired a video confirming that the Wednesday, January 1st Fight for the Fallen edition of Dynamite would be the first to simulcast on Max in addition to airing on its usual home of TBS.
The announcement was initially made during last week’s announcement of their first slate of dates for 2025.
The event will emanate from Asheville, North Carolina, and will serve as a benefit for local charities recovering from the disastrous effects of Hurricane Helene this year.
It’s assumed the following Saturday’s episode of Collision from Charlotte, North Carolina, will follow suit.
The simulcast of AEW’s two weekly TV shows on Max was part of the new deal AEW signed with Warner Bros. Discovery earlier this year.
At some point in 2025, Max will also begin to offer AEW pay-per-views at a discount. On this week’s media call, Tony Khan couldn’t provide a date or any other details other than to say he expected it to be a few months as there are infrastructure and backend updates that need to be done.
