While the participants haven’t been officially confirmed, recent developments on AEW programming suggest that Moxley’s team could include Gabe Kidd (who interfered on his behalf last week on Dynamite), the Young Bucks, and Marina Shafir. Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli of the Death Riders, or The Elite’s Kazuchika Okada, could also be involved. Strickland’s team could feature Kenny Omega, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, Willow Nightingale, or others as well.
This will be the sixth major team-based match to take place at a Double or Nothing event. The first two were Stadium Stampede matches held in 2020 and 2021. In the first, The Elite and Matt Hardy defeated The Inner Circle at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville. The following year, The Inner Circle defeated The Pinnacle at the same venue.
Three Anarchy in the Arena matches have followed. In 2022, the Jericho Appreciation Society defeated the Blackpool Combat Club. In 2023, the BCC defeated The Elite. And in 2024, The Elite defeated a team consisting of Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin, and FTR.
