AEW Dynamite Spring BreakThru special announced for next month

AEW has announced a special episode of AEW Dynamite for next month.

During Collision Slam Dunk Sunday, it was announced that the Spring BreakThru edition of AEW Dynamite will take place on April 16 in Boston. In a message on social media, Khan pointed out that this edition of Dynamite would reach a milestone for pro wrestling on Turner Sports.

“Don’t miss Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite 289, Wednesday, April 16 in Boston, AEW Spring BreakThru! We’ll celebrate AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite becoming the longest running prime time weekly pro wrestling program in Turner Sports history!,” he wrote.

Khan appears to be referring to Dynamite passing WCW Nitro’s episode count on that date. Nitro ran on TNT for 288 episodes from 1995 through 2001.

Dynamite premiered on TNT back in 2019 and later moved to TBS in 2022.

AEW’s next pay-per-view event will be on April 6 when Dynasty takes place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On Saturday, the company additionally announced that ROH’s next pay-per-view, Supercard of Honor, would be taking place on May 2 in Atlantic City.
