Adam Cole appears on AEW Dynamite, announces return

Adam Cole appeared on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, saying he was back.

Cole announced his return on Wednesday’s show, originally saying he had bad news. He pivoted, however, by saying the bad news wasn’t about himself, it was about everyone in the AEW locker room because he was back, and tonight would mark the debut of a brand new Adam Cole. He told everyone that he’s only scratched the surface in AEW.

During the promo, Cole detailed his dealing with head and shoulder injuries over the last year, saying that there would be times where he would be in a car for ten minutes before feeling like he needed to vomit. He went on to say that encouragement from fans helped him get through these issues.

Cole last wrestled at the NJPW/AEW Forbidden Door event last June, suffering a concussion during a match for the IWGP World Heavyweight title between himself, Kazuchika Okada, Jay White, and Hangman Page. He made one other appearance in August, with himself and reDRagon turning on The Young Bucks to end their alliance.
