Ace Steel pays internal fine following swear on AEW Dynamite

In what is likely a first in his long wrestling career, AEW producer Ace Steel had to pay a fine following him uttering a swear on Dynamite Wednesday.

PWInsider first reported the news Thursday.

During an intense promo designed to fire up CM Punk to challenge AEW World Champion Jon Moxley at Sunday’s All Out, Steel (Chris Guy) reminded Punk about his motto about getting back up after being knocked down. He said, “You f**king get up!” and then slapped him before continuing.

In PWInsider’s report, it said that AEW talent were notified to not swear on either Dynamite or Rampage this week given the attention for All Out. The communication to talent Thursday said Steel took responsibility for the error upon going backstage and agreed to a fine that will be donated to a charity, also praising Steel for how he handled it after the fact.

Steel was hired by AEW in February of this year after being released by WWE in January.
